After going down 26-37 to a stung Crusaders side, the Brumbies will look to build on their strong finish that saw them come back from 5-23 down when running in three second-half tries to two by the Crusaders.

Coach Dan McKellar said their recovery had proved to the Brumbies that their game plan still worked.

"There was a lot to take out of it, in terms of belief and confidence," McKellar told local media.

"We reviewed the Crusaders game thoroughly, and while we were disappointed with our error count, there were plenty of positives out of that game," he said.

At this stage of the season any changes made were usually mental tweaks, and he cited the example the Rebels provided after two hefty losses and then pushed the Chiefs to a three-point margin in their last game.

That demonstrated how much attitude and mindset assisted performance, he said.

"We're certainly no different. We've got to be in the right place mentally to deliver what you need to deliver physically and, obviously, in these games you've got to be brutal and physical," he said.

The Brumbies will have first five-eighths Noah Lolesio back to control the side's tactical options.

"Noah's been our first-choice 10 [five-eighths] for a couple of years now, and it gives the team a lift having him fit and available," he said.
